Bruce has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is a retired executive from the biotechnology industry where he worked for over 40 years. Bruce and his wife, Julie, have lived in San Diego since 1988. They have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. They have attended Solana Beach Presbyterian Church (SBPC) since 1988. Bruce is currently a non-ruling Elder of SBPC. He served the Presbytery of San Diego as a member of the Budget, Property, and Finance for 5 years. He is currently the Chairperson of the South Sudanese Presbyterian Fellowship. Bruce enjoys playing golf. He and Julie are avid walkers and enjoy long walks almost every day.
