Jaize Holt

Resource Coordinator

How did you come to work at the ministry?

I started as a volunteer at New Day Urban Ministires. I started as a volunteer because I wanted to be more involved with my local community and mission work. While volunterring at New Day, I was involved with food bags, hygiene kits, potlucks, and new friendships.

What attracted you to New Day Urban Ministries?

The welcoming and inclusive culture at New Day first attracted me. Now, I have found a community within this organization. I am proud to be a part of the many beneficial servies and Christian ministry provided for the local community and those unhoused.

What do you for a good time when you’re not working?

When I am not working, I enjoy outdoor activities such as bike riding and hiking. I also am an avid reader of fiction; my favorite book is “The Pearl” by John Steinbeck.

Our ministry has been serving those in need for over 50 years. Every year...
