What attracted you to New Day?

What attracted me to New Day Urban Ministries is what this organization stands for: restoring lives, providing hope, and helping people move forward during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. 

At some point in life, we have all needed someone who was willing to help us, encourage us, or simply stnd besdie us during a time of eed. That is what I belive New Day does so well. it meets people where they are, without judgment, and provides them with the support, resources, and compassion they need to take their next step forward.

What stands out to me about new Day is that the organization is not simply providing services – it is investing in people. Every person who walks through the doors has a story, challenges, and hopes for a better future. Being part of an organization that recognizes the value and dignity of each individual is something that means a lot to me.

I am also drawn to the sense of community at New Day. It is a place where staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners come together with a shared purpose: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Whether the need is large or small, every act of kindness and every opportunity to help can have an impact.

For me, being part of New Day is more than simply having a job. it is an opportunity to serve others, to be a source of encouragement, and to contribute to an organization that is helping people rebuild, regain hope, and believe that their circumstances to not have to define their future. That mission is what continues to inspire me and makes me grateful to be part of New Day Urban Ministries.

What is your favorite food/meal?

This is a question with many answers, LOL. I love steak and pasta, also sushi.

What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?

When I am not working, my favorite thing to do is spend quality time with my family. Family is very important to me and I truly value the time we have together, whether we are watching a good movie, going out, sharing a meal, having conversations, or simply relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. I believe some of the best moments in life are the simple ones spent with the people you love.

I also enjoy finding time to unwind, laugh, and create memories with my family. Whether we have plans or are just hanging out at home, I appreciate having that time to recharge and reconnect. For me, spending time with famly brings balance to my life and reminds me of what is most important.
