Teams battle to see who can most creatively and successfully transform ingredients found in food bags provided by charitable food pantries like New Day into a tasty main dish and dessert using only equipment provided.

Chopped at Church was created for the sole purpose of conducting a fundraising cooking competition to benefit New Day Urban Ministries, which each year ministers to thousands of the poor and homeless in urban San Diego.

Services are available to all, regardless of race, religious beliefs, or other personal characteristic.
